Our Doris
On the night of May 9, 2011, Doris Ann Croom entered into eternal rest. She was born in York Alabama on September 25, 1951 to Nellie Tarvin and Eddie Croom. She graduated from York West End High School in 1969.
Doris will be extremely missed for to know her was to love her. Doris was employed by UPMC Shadyside Hospital for 38 years and retired in 2007. When god made Doris he made her from the richest part of this earth and with her passing that mold will be forever broken.

Some of us have lost loved ones and dear friends, but how we remember them and reflect on their contributions to us personally will determine how much of them we have truly lost.”

I had To Go
Don’t be sad, and please don’t be mad
Because I am not there with you,
I know you love me but God loves me too.
I had to go to see the other side
there was no place to run,
And nowhere to hide.
God told us long ago this day would come
So please be ready, each and every one.
Make each day a special day, and help
someone a long your way.

He walks with each of us as he said he would.

He loves us all, and he knows how much we can take.
He’s my father, and I am his child.
